Christian Fine Art Today
About CFA
THE SEED for Christian Fine Art Today [CFA] was planted many years ago, as I grappled with being an artist. After becoming a Christian in 1974 (the single most important event in my life) I found myself struggling with my chosen field of endeavor.

With all the wonderful things the Lord has done in my life and those around me, why all of a sudden, did I have doubts about my vocation?

I know now that it was undoubtedly for a reason: others struggle too, and I want to assist those who do. No, not every artist who is a Christian has a problem with their artistry. And as you will discover through this Web log Fine Art makes for a glorious life here, and will matter for eternity.

Re-visit this journey with me as well as learn about Art in today's marketplace, the role of Christians creating works of art whether directly depicting Biblical stories and precepts, of God's creation or non-objective in style. If you have or are also dealing with the value of being an artist you'll find great lessons from past artists, recommended books and the Bible - the greatest source of truth for us all.

You may have visited my credentials page with a brief description of who I am and the kind of painting I do, however, this will be a general discussion pertinent to all fine artists. I have taught and written for years about art, but now I have enough miles behind me to talk about the role Christianity plays not only in my work but the works of famous masters of today and yesterday as well.

I hope you will join in when you read something of interest or comment about a need you may have regarding your art and your faith.

All the Best,

P.S. If you are interested in reading a brief of my Christian testimony to see where I stand please click here. This matters a great deal, so you can know the views I hold and where I am coming from.
