Touch of Class

Part of my 20th Century Vintage Ladies "HATS" Collection.

Better known as a "pancake" hat, this vintage satin-covered wide-brim beauty was adorned with an artificial rose and buds, and a black velvet trim. I wanted to visually give that "vintage" feel - so created a chenille design - as if the hat was lying on the edge of a bed. Funny thing, chenille is now making a comeback!
