Good Morning

A week before harvest, this lovely field was strong and anxious to see the new morning! All types of lavender reside in this modest field, so fragrant and delicately colored. Started en plein air painting in an American lavender field, completed in the studio. The simplicity and softness of this piece is different but equally lovely compared another lavender garden I painted in France - Garden Profusion - which is more vibrant and bold.
